The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts the Karnataka PGCET registration process online through its official website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Candidates can complete the Karnataka PGCET 2025 application form during the designated registration period. To successfully submit the form, applicants must pay the prescribed application fee. The Karnataka PGCET exam serves as a gateway for admission to MBA programs—both full-time and part-time—as well as other postgraduate professional courses. Below are the Karnataka PGCET 2025 eligibility criteria specific to MBA admissions:
Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time MBA
Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a minimum three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum Marks Required:
General (UR) category candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates from reserved categories are required to have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
Eligibility Criteria for Part-Time MBA
Educational Qualification: A minimum three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution is required.
Minimum Marks Required:
General (UR) category: Minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Reserved category: Minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
Work Experience:
Only employed candidates are eligible to apply.
A minimum of three years of relevant work experience as of July 31, 2025, is mandatory.
The applicant’s current place of employment must be located within a 40-kilometre radius of the chosen MBA college.
Number of MCQ questions for PGCET is 100. Each question carry one mark.

Syllabus for PGCET in Master of Business Administration (MBA)
(1)Computer Awareness
(i)computer Basics: organization of a computer, central Processing Unit (CPU), Input
/output devices, Computer Memory, Programming Languages, Types of Operating Systems,
General awareness about Internet. Web Applications, Database Applications and Information
systems.
(ii)Data Representation: Representation of Characters, Integers and Fractions, Binary, ASCII
and Hexadecimal representations.
(iii)Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Two’s complement
arithmetic, Floating-point representation of numbers, normalized Floating-point
representation.
(iv) Operating systems: Evolution of operating systems, types of operating systems,
functions of an operating system, modern operating systems.
(2) Analytical Ability and logical Reasoning
Logical Reasoning, Puzzles, Diagrams, Analogy, verbal ability, analytical ability and related
aspects
(3) Quantitative Analysis
Arithmetic, data analysis and interpretation, statistical analysis and related quantitative
aspects.
(4) English language
Basic English grammar, synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction, one word Substitution,
idioms and phrases, pairs expressing relationships, famous books in English Literature.
(5) General Knowledge
Indian Business Environment, Global Environment, Social Events Cultural, Events,
Economics, Management, Political Events, Historical Events, Current Affairs, Sports,
Awards, Personalities and Achievements, Science and Technology, Humanities.
